Hi, I’m Angela and I run Starling Holistic. I’m a massage therapist and Reiki practitioner.
I offer a range of holistic therapies to help you feel and look great – from luxurious Ayurvedic Treatments to therapeutic Deep Tissue Massage and Stretch Therapy, from detoxifying Manual Lymphatic Drainage massages and Cupping Therapy to peaceful Reiki treatments for rest and relaxation.
I have always had a passion for health, wellness and Ayurveda over the last 20 years and know the body and brain are deeply connected. I experienced the transformational power of Ayurvedic treatments myself whilst working in a high-pressure business career, and decided to retrain as a therapist to help others to cope with the stress they were dealing with. I understand how challenging it can be to find time for appointments during a busy workday, so I offer treatments most evenings throughout the week to accommodate those who need to come after work.
I qualified as an Ayurvedic Massage Therapist from the Ayurvedic Institute in London in 2017, under the supervision of Dr Deepika Rodrigo (B.A.M.S), the Principal Ayurvedic Physician and Lecturer at the Ayurveda Institute. I have also trained under the direction of Dr Deepa Apte (M.B.B.S. India), a fully qualified Indian Doctor and Principal Lecturer at the Ayurveda Pura Academy in London. Prior to that I was attuned through the Japanese Usui System of Reiki in 2006. I have many years of experience practising Reiki healing and work very intuitively to soothe clients physically and emotionally. I am passionate about positive changes in people's wellbeing and, having seen the results clients experience from my treatments, I really love what I do.
I have a peaceful therapy room in Arborfield, just outside of Reading, with close links to the M3 and M4 motorways - a safe, supportive space where people can come to relax or help with regular maintenance for chronic conditions. My nurturing touch and caring approach offer a sense of calm and wellbeing, a time to be cherished as life can be so hectic.
Each client is an individual, therefore I treat the whole person and the root cause, not just parts of the body. My aim is not just to massage away physical pain, I am interested in helping to restore balance in your body, mind and spirit as well.

I have a valid First Aid certificate. I am fully insured with Balens, and am an affiliated member of the Association of Ayurvedic Professionals (AAPUK) and The Complementary Medical Association (The CMA).
