FAQs about Brazilian Sculpting
How is this different from traditional manual lymphatic drainage?
This is a more dynamic, results-driven treatment using firmer sculpting techniques and wood therapy, compared to the gentle, restorative nature of traditional Manual Lymphatic Drainage.
Will I see results straight away?
Many clients notice an immediate difference after one session, particularly in reduced fluid retention and improved definition. Results continue to improve with a course of treatments.
Does it hurt?
The treatment combines gentle lymphatic drainage strokes with more targeted, stimulating body-sculpting techniques. Some areas, particularly where there is cellulite or congestion, may feel more intense. Many clients find the treatment surprisingly relaxing, although this is an individual preference and some may prefer a more traditional, gentle MLD treatment.
I will check your comfort level throughout, but please speak up if any area feels too sensitive so I can adjust the pressure or technique. More pressure does not necessarily mean better results.
Can I bruise after treatment?
Light bruising or temporary redness can occasionally occur, particularly if you have sensitive skin or tissue, or tend to bruise easily. This is usually mild and should fade within a few days.
How many sessions do I need?
A course of 6–12 treatments is generally recommended for best results. However, every body is different, and the number of sessions required will vary depending on your individual goals, lifestyle, and response to treatment.
For longer-lasting results, this treatment is best supported by a balanced lifestyle, including hydration, gentle movement, and nourishing nutritional habits.
Can specific areas be targeted?
Yes, treatments focus on specific areas such as the face and neck, abdomen and waist, legs and glutes, arms, or back and waist, depending on your goals.
Is there any downtime?
No downtime is required. You may feel lighter, more sculpted, and more energised following treatment. Some mild tenderness can occur in more congested areas, which typically settles quickly.
How will my progress be monitored?
I keep treatment notes to help monitor your progress over the course of your treatments. With your consent, I may also take photographs. This provides a useful way to compare changes over time and assess how you are responding to the treatment.
Are there any precautions?
Please let me know about any changes to your health or medical history before you book a treatment. Certain medical conditions may require written medical clearance from your GP before treatment, including a previous history of cancer, diabetes, atrial fibrillation, cardiac failure or other heart conditions.
If I have any concerns about whether treatment is suitable for you, I will not be able to proceed until you have consulted your GP and, where appropriate, provided written medical clearance.
If you have any concerns or are unsure whether the treatment is suitable for you, please contact me before booking via WhatsApp on 07766 050837.
